Amazing viewn etc.

Maragowan Club Campsite
What a lovely site , great walks from the site and a short stroll into Killin which has a few shops and a choice of places to eat , mostly all dog friendly. The shower block could definitely benefit from updating however it was clean and warm. Pitches are level with some having no tv reception but the wardens explained this on arrival and told us which pitches had sun etc. No dog walk on site but lovely walks from the site. Highly recommended .

Nice location

Maragowan Club Campsite
Lovely location right next to the river surrounded by mountains, Forrest and Lochs. Standard Caravan and Motorhome club pitches etc. Really warm and organised check in from the wardens set the tone for a lovely stay. Facilities long overdue for an upgrade although the showers were hot. The site would benefit from some fully serviced pitches. Good WiFi and reasonable TV signal. Ten minute walk into Killin with plenty of places to eat and a few shops including a large Co-op. Plenty to see in the area including the Falls of Docherty, Loch Tay, Loch Earnhead, Kenmore, Aberfeldy and not much further to Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Crieff, Pitlochry, Perth etc.

1st visit to this site

Maragowan Club Campsite
This was our 1st visit to this wonderful site, the scenery all round is fantastic and the site is so peaceful when a lot of the time all you can hear are the birds singing. Very friendly staff always had time for a chat. Showers were lovely and hot. We visited various places around the area, we visited The Kelpies, it was 50 miles from the site but worth the visit amazing structures. We also had a run to Aberfeldy which is a quiet place, but be very careful if you travel on that road as many people do not slow down and the road is narrow and twisting, again the scenery is also worth the drive to there. There are eateries etc in Killin itself if you wish to eat out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this site and will be visiting again in the future even for the scenery alone!

Stunning Location

Maragowan Club Campsite
This club site is in a great location with beautiful scenery providing a stunning backdrop. Friendly and helpful wardens who made you feel very welcome after a long drive. Plenty of walking/cycling straight from the site with routes to suit all tastes and abilities. Community shop and Post Office in the village together with a Coop, chemist and numerous cafes and pubs. We were there over Easter and as one would expect, the site was busy. The pitches by the river felt tight and packed in but we were happy with our large pitch on the other side of the large expanse of grass. As someone else has previously mentioned, there is no dedicated dog walk on site. Whilst I accept that there is plenty of walking in the area, early morning and late night trips involve a walk along a 'no through' lane in front of residential properties which I'm sure they love!! (or like some - you exercise them on site). If you are away from the riverside, beware that some less thoughtful members think nothing of cutting across pitches (even when you're sitting out) to make a direct line to the toilet block.
