Low Moor Head is a very peaceful, quiet site just outside the hamlet of Easton, near Longtown the gateway from England to the Scottish Borders. The site is located within one acre lawned area, on a slight incline, with the beautiful backdrop of Heatherybelt Wood, part of Netherby Estates. All our pitches are spacious, all hard standing with both electric and individual water supplies. On arrival visitors and pets are greeted with a warm, friendly welcome, together with six free range complimentary eggs.  In addition we have a small car park on the site for guests, which also houses our heated toilet/shower, with disabled facilities (replacement Autumn 2023) recycling and waste bins.

We have an information area where guests can relax and study the many brochures of places, activities and up coming events.

In adjacent fields which border the campsite visitors can enjoy watching our Shetland ponies play, together with  3 donkeys, ducks chickens, 2 pigmy goats and sheep.  In early March visitors can enjoy the new born lambs as they play!

The site is an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area known as the Debatable Lands, battle ground of the Border Reivers, which is steeped in history, and close to South West Scotland, the World famous Gretna Green, historic Carlisle, Lake District and the Solway coast.

The town is within a mile of the site and provides an excellent selection of shops, hotel, restaurants, cafes, chemist,  Post Office and supermarket. Visitors can enjoy a walk or cycle into the town, where they can take a beautiful riverside walk, along the banks of the river Esk a renowned salmon river (speak to owner re permit), or visit the Coop house, Arthuret Church, Netherby Hall or the largest sheep sales market in the country.

We are located an easy 6 mile drive from Hadrians Wall. There is also a new Border Reivers cycle route in addition to Sustrans Route 7 - please ask the CL owners for more details when you arrive. There is a summer house information and recreational area which provides tourist information, local history and other local information.

Opposite the entrance to the CL are three woodland walks of varying distance and excellent for dog walking (dogs must be on leads at all times) and local wildlife (red squirrels and roe deer as well as wild birds and flaura and fauna)

Luxury Norwegian log cabin, ideal for couples retreat with hot-tub and sauna, child free and dog free. Shepherds Hut and Glamping also available with hot tub, ideal for friends and family who wish to join you. Please speak to owner

We are also pleased to be able to offer Platinum CaSSOA Caravan Storage.

Amazing site and owners are 1st class

Low Moor Head Farm
The greeting on arrival was great, and I have to say the site was neat and tidy. The w a shroom is very spacious and clean. The eggs that we received where the best I've ever tasted. We had a serious medical issue with one of our dogs whilst we where they, the owners were amazing, sorting an emergency vet and then checking on her when we arrived back. They certainly wwnt above and beyond

Perfect Pitch

Low Moor Head Farm
Spent a week here in early May. From arrival to departure everything was perfect. Our pitch was next to a paddock where four day old lambs and their mothers, chickens, geese and ducks roamed and played - much to the bemusement of our two dogs who found them fascinating to watch. Adele is a very welcoming person, not just for the eggs on arrival but with information about the area. She also keeps the grass areas and shower cabin immaculate. This is a very peaceful site and we spent some time just relaxing in the warm sunshine, in fact the weather was better than at home! We would recommend this site to anyone who wants to explore the region, Gretna and its shopping village is not far away, with Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall a short drive away. Finally, the butcher in Longtown does a pretty good meat pie.

Fantastic peaceful stay

Low Moor Head Farm
Fantastic site lovely welcome from owners really appreciated the gift of eggs on arrival. Great place for exploring the area, we visited North Lakes, Dumfries and Galloway and Hadrians Wall. We loved the peace and quiet, level super pitches with our own picnic table. We were sorry to leave and can't wait to return

What a find!

Low Moor Head Farm
We spent a wonderful 3 nights at Low Moor head. Super friendly owners greeted us with a gift of fresh laid eggs and pointed out everything we needed to know on the site. Pitches were level and spacious and the layout of the site gave it a lovely relaxed feel. We really enjoyed hearing the sounds of the lambs and chickens and although a road passes the site, there is very little traffic and no road noise. Will definitely book again if we are in the area. Thank you for a lovely stay

Perfect New Year getaway 5* CL

Low Moor Head Farm
We would like to thank you for a fantastic stay. We've loved our little adventure despite encountering every weather condition. (Even staying up all night to make sure the awning was still standing in storm Gerett 🤣 it was eventful but enjoyable!) To anyone considering this site you wont be disappointed. Its quiet, within walking distance to the local town with lots of amenities and the owners and their many Geese and other live stock are very welcoming. 🤣 We loved listening to donkeys especially on a morning 😍 Shower and toilet facilities were always spotless. Here you can also take in all the information of their many awards they have won over the years.👏👏👏 We enjoyed our free fesh eggs which were delivered to our caravan along with a lovely gesture of wine and chocolates to bring in the New Year. The owners go above and beyond which is wholeheartedly welcomed, they are such friendly people. The owners informed us that they'd had an influx of rain fall throughout the year, this was evident as it was very muddy, we found navigating to the toilet waste area very slippy. A suggestion if i may, is to make a gravel/wooden pallet path to this area. We feel this will be beneficial in the long run. This did not affect our stay in any way. We will be back at some point this year for definite. See you soon! Becky, Paul, Sarah, Emma and Milo 🐶 x
