Meeting up with friends

This was our first time here, the site is well laid out with a good selection of hard standing and grass pitches, the WiFi was poor on our pitch No2 as was Mobile signal, There are a lot of pitches and when full I could imagine it would be very busy, the site is well kept, clean tidy while feeling relaxed, Although we didn’t have children with us the play area was away from most of the pitches and looked very well maintained, a pizza van arrives in the car park every Friday. We would consider returning , If you want a great meal visit the Anchor Inn in Upton upon Severn and talk with James Murray 😂😂 Revels farm shop just the other side of Upton is worth a visit, Clive’s Fruit farm Upton is ok in a car but tight in a motorhome .

First visit

Enjoyed our stay. Though not sure I would want to be there if the site was was fully booked or near capacity. The number of white pegs makes the mind boggle. Great if you want to Walk the Malvern Hills which are a short drive away. There are also walks from the site. Lots of places to visit nearby Croome (NT) Worcester and Tewkesbury to name 3. Free WiFi suits my needs and I have no issue with the 1 hour duration. If you want longer then the Premium WiFi is available. The staff were helpful and friendly and kept the faciities and site clean and tidy

One of the best albeit in need of investment.

This is one of our favourite sites, left numerous reviews over the last 10 years all positive and have many happy memories. Over the last couple of years though we have noticed the hard standing pitches around the site are beginning to look a little tired, not I hasten to add at the fault of the wardens. But the site is now in need of much needed investment, we stayed after quite a heavy wet spell and some of the pitches became lakes with one in particular on par with the River Severn. Drainage needs to be addressed as the pitches at the lower end of the site don’t stand a chance, access roads on the corners need to be widened slightly so that there is no need for the longer outfits to chew up the grass creating some very deep culverts and the hard standing pitches themselves need refurbishing. I’m not bothered for super pitches etc, just a pitch capable of draining correctly and not collecting water. It is a wonderful site, and has amazing wardens so come on CAMC please invest in this one.

Compliment

What lovely wardens, who seemed happy in their work. The warmest welcome ever received in over 40 years of caravanning. Now that I am travelling on my own, their help and friendliness was appreciated so much. Thank you.

Peaceful site

First time at the Malvern Hills site. First time with a caravan too as we recently converted from Motorhome. A peaceful site in a good location. All facilities on the site were clean and well maintained and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. A pub, the Swan in Hanley Swan, is a 20 minute or so walk away and was also very welcoming with good food and was dog friendly too. the walk is on pavement all the way so safe if you're walking back by torchlight. the site is surrounded by footpaths right from the gate so great for walkers (extremely muddy the weekend we were there... lol...) Malvern itself is only a ten minute drive away. Overall a lovely site and we will visit again.

One night stay

Always visit this site at least once a year. Early visit this year as we were trying out our new caravan. Thought we'd try the new WiFi as it's now free. Worked fine but I think it's a bit silly only being able to login for one hour at a time then having to re login again and again. Time for the club to have a re think

Well maintained

4th time on this site and I must say the wardens were very helpfull and polite the facilities were spotlessly clean . Yes the site is ready for a re vamp some of the electric sockets on the pegs didn't work so had to plug into another good job it wasn't needed. Some TV points good do with adding to the pegs as our reception was pants so the club needs to start to invest into the malvern site. But in general our stay was a nice one

Policy Needs amending

First of all the site is beautiful and very well maintained. The shower block was very clean and again well maintained. All the above I could not fault, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one . Now here is the bad bit. The site has a locked and secure compound used to store Caravans and Motorhomes. Our stay was from Thursday to Wednesday 6 nights . A caravan in the compound started to false alarm pm on the Friday ,again 05.30 on Saturday. These at first had time gaps of hour or so between events. Continues with less time between events until Monday 4.30 Am Continuing not stop until the owner was tracked down and came to switch it off. The Staff were just as frustrated by this awful experience and I’m sure lost as much sleep and peace as the rest of fellow campers. A change in policy is required to keep the peace . The Swan at Hanley Swan is very nice and the meal was very nice . Be aware Card Only .

A really nice site

We have stayed at Malvern Hills site many times over the years and have always found it to be well maintained, facilities spotless, and really friendly and helpful wardens. This is a large open site on 2 levels with large shower/toilet blocks on both. The hardstanding and grass pitches are well spaced out and apart from a few grass pitches, level. As there is so much grass, the wardens need to keep on top of this with regular mowing and ground maintenance. We can't understand why the previous review complains about this - they would probably be the first to complain if the site was overgrown. Also, with all sites, problems can occur which is out of the wardens control, such as boiler breakdowns etc. Surely this should be taken into consideration when reviewing as these unforseen problems are not the fault of the wardens who will be doing everything in their powers to rectify the problem as quickly as possible. For us, this is the perfect site with so many lovely places to visit nearby.
