Perfection!

My first Caravan and Motorhome club experience was very disappointing (I did leave a review). I'm not sure why we kept our membership but we are so glad we did. This camp site was absolutely perfect. Everything was spotless and the park was lovely with plenty of trees and shrub areas breaking up the pitches. The off lead dog area was very much appreciated by my two. The showers were hot and powerful and the garden areas were immaculate as was every area of the park. They happily organised an additional night for us. We would definitely recommend staying here, many thanks for a great experience.

Outstanding site with fab wardens

What a find. This site is clean, well maintained and in a great location for getting out and about on the Broads. The wardens Paul and Libby were amazing. Always there smiling and answering any questions. Local pubs great food. Very dog friendly area.

Superb visit

Superb well maintained site with extremely helpful staff. Facilities immaculate. Site location perfect for exploring the surrounding area, walking or cycling. Visit Horsey to the beach to see the seals, National Trust windmill and Poppylands cafe. Horning wonderful to watch the boats on The Broads. A fabulous stay.

LUCKY WITH THE WEATHER

Very friendly and helpful staff and toilet and shower facilities very clean. Be careful walking along the Main Road as the traffic does tend to speed along. The shop along the road to the river is very well stocked, and we enjoyed a meal at The Dog pub.

So quiet and great location

Really impressed with the site. Spacious, lots of green areas, and an off lead dog exercise area. Great, welcoming staff, who even came out in the pouring rain to check us in. Access to local areas of interest were more accessible than we'd thought, including fabulous walks and cycle rides, a good pub practically next door but others close by too. Can't wait to come again.

Lovely stay at a very good site, but underwhelmed by the welcome.

This was our first visit to Norfolk broads campsite. This is an ideal campsite to visit if you are a wildlife lover. We found it very quiet and enjoyed the fact that you could walk out of the campsite straight on to the broads and see the most amazing wildlife. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. However, we arrived at the campsite at 4 mins before 1pm (being unsure of how long it would take us to get there) and were faced with a bollard barricade across the entrance of the campsite, and a spurious sign denying us entry. Had we not breached this barricade, our 7 metre motorhome would have been left protruding out into a busy road, all so that the staff could have a quiet uninterrupted lunchtime. Despite the fact that there were clearly two lanes and the equivalent of four vehicular spaces to accommodate vehicles arriving at this 'sensitive' hour. The site was not busy. The woman driver of the van arriving two minutes before us was subject to a tirade from the manager for entering slightly before 1pm, and breaching his barricade and having the temerity to get out of her cab to look for a staff member. The lady was greatly annoyed by the attitude of the manager having explained that she had visited the site on many occasions and had never been treated in this way. For our part, I found the manager rude, dismissive, and disinterested, giving vague and fleeting instructions. The remaining staff were absolutely lovely and helpful and could not do enough to please. The Dog public house up the road was friendly and had good food.

Not the quite what we expected

A few years since we stayed here, so was looking forward to a break before Easter, the surrounding area is still as lovely as ever. New site staff this year, the assistants are very pleasant and helpful. The whole site has a very clinical feel to it, don’t stand still too long or you will most likely end up being painted white, not sure this works in what should be a rural setting. The warden seems to spend all of his time charging about the site on his mower, way in excess of the 5mph, trying to cut grass that is virtually none existent in places, we totally understand that sites have to be looked after, but listening to the mower for hours on end for no real reason seems pointless.

Excellent site, great location

Just stayed at Norfolk Broads Cub Campsite, arriving after they had experienced a week of heavy rain and the ground had suffered. The staff were amazing, making sure that we stayed away from areas affected badly by the storms and extra concerned about our wellbeing and comfort. We hadn’t stayed at the site before but will definitely return. Site is immaculate and garden borders beautiful, facilities are spotlessly clean and bin, chemical toilet and water areas cleaned as required (no overflowing bins or rubbish to be seen. Showers are a little dated but not a real problem. All these things are down to the friendly, hard working staff. We only met Richard and his wife who worked tirelessly over and beyond what is expected. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely peaceful site with helpful and welcoming staff.

Helpful ands friendly Wardens. Lovely quiet location in Ludham in the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Well kept site, everything worked. Grass pitches well kept, level and spacious. We didn't have a problem that the shower and toilet blocks were said by some to be a little dated; the main thing was that the toilets and showers were spotless. We didn't have to wait for a shower or to use the loo. Toilet for disabled people, need a radar key. Would advise anyone with a Campervan going out for the day, to leave something in their pitch to say the plot is taken, to avoid anyone coming along and pitching up in their spot. Great pub next door with a varied menu, and lots of gluten free options. Lots to see and do, highly recommend How Hill nearby; Norwich for a day out; coast is beautiful - try Sea Palling, Gt Yarmouth and its Time & Tide Museum and fairground, Victorian Cromer with its theatre on the pier, Cley and Blakeney for wildlife, Georgian Holt. We are looking forward to our next visit!
