Hi-Tec joined forces with technology company P2i to launch the world's first collection of ion-mask footwear. A patented plasma-based technology, ion-mask was developed for the military to protect soldiers from chemical attack. It is claimed to permanently alter the surface of fabric at a molecular level to repel water and other liquids - which are forced to bead and simply run off.

The V-Lite Altitude Ultra (SRP £100) is a 'two-season' boot that features ion-mask technology as well as an exclusive 'Vibram' outsole for extreme protection over various terrains. This boot is available in men's sizes 7-13 (inc halves) and women's sizes 4-8 (inc halves).
