London "great" at Christmas
07 August 2008
While the majority of people are planning things to see and do over the summer months, London has been described as a "great" place to be during the festive period.
Hannah Collingbourne, a spokesperson for tourism agency Visit London, states that the winter months provide the opportunity for locals and visitors to see the capital in a different light to any other time of the year.
"They want to see things they've read about like the West End lights. We also try and direct them towards other things that are happening around the city that they may not have heard of like the Greenwich Christmas market," she adds.
Ms Collingbourne notes that there are lots of activities people like to do when in the capital during the Christmas period.
These include the Great Christmas Pudding Race in Covent Garden, Midnight Mass at St Paul's Cathedral and New Year's Eve fireworks at the London Eye.
People touring the region have a range of Caravan Club Sites at their disposal, including Crystal Palace and Abbey Wood.
