02 July 2008
A wide range of activities are taking place over the next month in the Lake District National Park, it has been announced.
The Lake District National Park Authority explains that there are more than 120 ways to celebrate the summer during July.
Events range from Coniston Water festival, to classic walking trips, music, exhibitions and garden gatherings.
Coordinator Andrea Hills comments that there is barely a day in the month where there will not be an event or activity taking place.
She adds: "Where else would you be able to go bird watching one week, meet members of a mountain rescue team the next and fit in compass exercises, seashore explorations at historic Ravenglass and learn about the Lake District's gunpowder legacy in between?"
Meanwhile, conservation enthusiasts could be tempted by the Learning by the Lake workshop, which takes place on July 12th in Keswick.
Members touring the region may be pleased to hear that a range of Caravan Club Sites are located in and around the area.
