Floral exhibition taking place in the Dales

30 July 2008

Those who enjoy the great outdoors have the opportunity to visit a free exhibition in the Yorkshire Dales National Park Museum over the coming months, it has been announced.

Flower Power: Hay Time in the Dales is due to run until September 3rd and features banners depicting flora and fauna made by Scouts, Beavers, Cubs and other kids' clubs from the Richmond area.

Museum manager Fiona Rosher explains that the groups used many different aspects of hay time as inspiration for their work.

"If anyone has memories or photos of hay time and would be willing to share them, please get in touch with staff. We will make an arrangement to visit you to record your impressions of hay time, either in the past, or now," she adds.

A number of stone carving workshops will also take place at the facility on July 31st and August 1st.

People touring the region could also be tempted to visit the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes before August 30th to see work by artist Daren Smith.
