Art in Dartmoor

Art lovers eager to combine culture with a trip to the great outdoors could well be tempted to visit a new exhibition inspired by the beauty of Dartmoor National Park.
Located at the Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA) High Moorland Visitor Centre in Princetown, the display features work by a number of local artists who have interpreted their surroundings in a range of innovative ways.
Work by Adam Bunce, Greg Ramsden and Ben Yates make up the exhibition.
Mr Bunce makes use of dreamlike imagery in his pictures, while Mr Ramsden works with oils and natural elements, sometimes leaving his work outside to face the wind, rain and frost.
Finally, Mr Yates is a photographer who often creates three-dimensional pieces.
The authority notes that the trio's work has been widely displayed, including during the Devon Artist Network Open Studio Event 2007 and that the art will be on show until June 25th.
The DNPA recently called for people touring the region to keep their dogs on a short lead between March 1st and July 31st.
