Many of our overseas sites are bookable online. Those that show no availability can be booked by calling our Reservations Department on 01342 316 101.
Please do not make bookings for non members using your membership number as these could be interpreted as duplicate bookings and could be cancelled.
- Members can use our overseas Travel Service to make advance reservations at many of the 200+ sites at which we have pitch allocations throughout Europe - reservations made online may only be for caravans / motor caravans NOT exceeding 7.0m in length.
- You pay in advance in Sterling and head off on holiday knowing that you have a confirmed pitch on the site of your choice.
- We offer a range of sites to suit all tastes from small family run operations to large commercial locations. Full details of all the sites on offer appear in our Travel Service in Europe brochure.
- A number of sites are not available to book online due to varying restrictions - for more details of these please call our contact centre on 01342 316 101.
- As mentioned in the 2008 Travel Service in Europe brochure, the owners of the popular Le Moulin Fort campsite (L08) situated near to the chateaui of Chenonceau in the Loire region of France, have been trying to improve the hot water supply at the campsite. They have now advised that the situation seems to have been resolved and at the same time improvements made to the sanitary blocks.
- Whilst a "pets passport" is not required for travel to Ireland, there are various restrictions on a range of dog breeds. For further information please refer to page 645 of the UK Sites Directory and Handbook, or call our Overseas travel Information Officer.
- Don't forget that you can also purchase Camping Cheques for low season touring - provided with a directory showing all of the 550+ sites which accept them. These may also be ordered on line at the same time as making your ferry reservation. If you order more than 7 Camping Cheques, these will be sent by Special Delivery Service and MUST be signed for. If you are planning to use these Cheques in the autumn, then you might like to think about purchasing them earlier. These Cheques are supplied from France and the current wekness of the pound against the Euro means that we might regrettably have to apply a surcharge from September onwards.
- For 2008 we shall again also be offering the ACSI Camping Card which offers a discounted rate (three different rates depending on the site) at any of the 600+ participating sites. You only need purchase the Directory with the discount card in advance (£6.50) and pay for the site when you arrive.
- For 2008 the Les Castels low season discount scheme card available through The Club will be free of charge. This entitles you to a reduced rate of €16.00 per pitch per night for two adults, including electricity, at the 38 exceptional 4-star campsites in the Les Castels chain in France. The card can only be purchased in conjunction with a ferry booking through The Club. This discount is subject to space availability on arrival and cannot be used in conjunction with any advance bookings.
This tariff is valid at all sites, except Esterel Caravaning (10% discount is offered, subject to availability), on presentation of the Privilege Card. The low season offer is valid from the opening date of each campsite until 30th June 2008 and from 1st September 2008 until the sites’ closing dates.
N.B. All of the above site discount products are only available through The Club when you also make a booking with us for the same trip. More information can be obtained on these products by calling the Travel team on 01342 316 101.
Remember - most sites and ferries are now imposing cancellation fees, so purchase your Overseas Holiday Insurance (Red Pennant) now!
The CCI camping Carnet is automatically included free of charge with Overseas Holiday Motoring insurance but can also be purchased separately for just £4.95. This card includes third party liability insurance and may usually be used at sites in lieu of your passport for identification. You can purchase a CCI by calling our travel team on 01342 316 101.
