National Accessible Scheme

Almost 70 Club Sites have achieved Mobility 1 rating under the National Accessibility Scheme, making a stay on many Club Sites more comfortable for those with special mobility needs.

Mobility 1 sites are typically suitable for people with sufficient mobility to climb a flight of steps but who would benefit from fixtures and fittings to aid balance.

The National Accessible Scheme is promoted by Visit Britain and covers three types of impairment: mobility, hearing and visual. There are four categories for mobility and two each for visual and hearing impairment, starting at level 1. The Caravan Club continually strives to increase the standard of facilities for people with mobility requirements.
