With the same bodywork as the 1.6-litre cee’d in the lower price class, Kia’s SW 2.0 CRDi Sport shares many of the same characteristics, including good load capacity and the ability to pull well at speed. However, with this engine the gearing makes top (6th) almost redundant and there are occasions when it struggles to put the extra power down on takeoff.
The brakes work well and the handbrake was praised for both its position and effectiveness. As with all Kia’s, the SW 2.0 CRDi Sport is supplied with very informative towing data in its handbook.
