In terms of cabin refinement the Mitsubishi gives the Isuzu a fair run for its money, but in towing performance it loses all round. It’s stable enough but it’s slow and I would find the ride too wearing over any distance.
The handbrake only just held on our 17% gradient and, although it did get away in high-ratio two-wheel drive, progress was slow. This was also the only Utility class entrant that didn’t take all our typical load of caravanning accessories.
