Nissan’s new hatchback has some appealing features for caravanners: usable loadspace, good visibility due to a higher than average driving position and big door mirrors, and a handbrake that holds easily even on a severe slope. With only a 1.5-litre diesel engine, however, it has to be worked hard to keep up with the traffic flow.
Buy a Qashqai Acenta and you can expect a car that’s hard to beat in terms of running costs – it pumps out low emissions, is in a low insurance group and is competitively priced. It’s also more than adequate as a load carrier.
