This vehicle will probably do more service as a minibus than a caravan towcar but, with four-wheel drive and a price tag of just £22,000, the Shuttle could well attract the attention of large caravanning families.
The good bits are that it feels well made, it’s got a 120kg noseweight limit and a nice six-speed gearbox with low 1st and 2nd for easy getaways. Oh, and the handbrake works a treat.
The main problem is lack of power: there’s a sweet five-cylinder diesel engine but it churns out just 128bhp to haul around a bus that weighs over two tonnes before any of the (potentially) nine adults get in and before you hitch on your caravan.
