Back to four cylinders with the Corsa, again a diesel but with just 1248cc. Peformance was sluggish compared with the other contenders in this class and stability only so-so.
All the drivers agreed that the Corsa got a bit ‘wobbly’ at speed. More worryingly, the handbrake wouldn’t hold on a 14% gradient, even pulling with two hands. As with the Mitsubishi, a 50kg noseweight limit and lack of breakaway anchor did not impress.
