A stay at Fairlight Wood Caravan Club Site is almost like taking
a soothing break in a large and lovely garden. This is a small and
intimate caravan park set in flower rich woodland and with many
quaint footpaths to wander along. The area is rich in historic
value - the nearby seaside town of Hastings was William the
Conqueror's base camp in 1066 and it was here he chose to build his
famous castle following the historic victory at Battle.
Fairlight Wood Caravan Club Site offers a perfect retreat for
nature lovers - its surrounding woodlands are listed as a
Biodiversity area so are ideal for spotting wildlife. The nearby
Old Hastings is well worth the visit for its quiet charm - here you
can watch the fisherman bringing home their daily catch, eat some
of the freshest fish and chips you've ever tasted and then walk the
meal off with a leisurely stroll along streets that still hold the
atmosphere of days gone by. The caravan site also puts you within a
short distance from the scenic East Cliffs, and for walkers who
enjoy a bit of a challenge, it connects with a lovely 5 mile
Country Park walk which will lead you through a wealth of natural
treats such as wooded valleys and secluded beaches.
