The Quinta site is part of a 52 acre Christian Conference Centre in North Shropshire. Here, church, youth, student and school groups are all warmly welcomed for a stay. The site is relatively flat, and all pitches are provided with electric hook-ups and a nearby water tap.
The local area has many attractions and places to visit and the Welsh hills and coast are within an hour's drive. Near the Llangollen Canal are spectacular aqueducts and tunnels to explore. The town of Oswestry is a 15 minute drive away and is an ideal place for browsing shops.

Beautiful location but some basic requirements not in place
Quinta Christian Centre
The Quinta CL is set in the beautiful grounds of the Quinta House, it is very peaceful, we were lucky enough to be on our own for the 4 nights we stayed. Our pich overlooked the playing field which was lovelly.
This CL is however not for beginners, you are very much left to your own devices by the staff on site, the ground even when dry is particularly soft, which could make access / exit difficult. No guidance or information was provided by the team at the Quinta centre. We were fortunate enough to meet a departing member who was helpful in providing the basics.The reception was efficient but very business-like and not particularly helpful or friendly – most unusual compared to the CL ‘s that we have experienced.
Drinking water points were not clearly labelled, the toilet waste point was not labelled and had a drinking water tap (not working ) directly above it, there was no separate tap for rinsing out waste container. This was a health and safety concern.
Directions to site need to state DO NOT FOLLOW SAT NAV as Sat navs will try and direct you down a very narrow road if approaching from the south.
Although the site has a lovely peaceful setting and useful, if dated facilities such as washing machines, showers, toilets, it is let down by some of the basic CL requirements not being put in place by the owners.
With a little bit more effort this site could be a real gem - but does need the normal CL service putting in place to achieve this.

Scenic but Muddy
Quinta Christian Centre
A very attractive site with room for walks and within easy reach of some great places to visit. The area for pitching is quiet & secluded. The problem was the area was so muddy that we ended up spending three nights on the gravelled service road and got stuck trying to fill up the water tank. In wet weather motorhomers need to be advised to fill up from a tap by the offices some distance away. The WC waste disposal was in a muddy field some distance away so we cannot comment on it. We arrived after 6pm but next morning their was no surprise and little sympathy from our hosts in the Office who charged us an unexpected £13 a night. (the on-line price was £9! - It is time the CC sorted out these large differences in prices stated on-line).
As we were the only ones there we were able to park on the shingle track and use an extended mains lead. We would have obstructed any other visitors but they would have ventured on to any of the pitches at their peril.
On the positive side - the site is large, secluded and picturesque. For a dry summer stay the facilities for sport, showering and family activities would seem ideal and worth the money. Tennis, Sports Hall and even an outdoor pool are offered if they are not being used by Quinta Centre Visitors - so that sounds hopeful.
We would advise members to be very wary in wet weather, ask the staff what the site is like and motorhomers to take particular care when visiting the site tap.

Despite late booking we were given a warm and friendly welcome from Mr Nurden the centre manager. Facilities basic but clean, lovely spot.
