member Wildwood, Caravanner From Lanarkshire five red stars [Online] Posted 2 weeks ago by Wildwood Quote | Report We completely disagree with denised . club rules state depart by 12 noon obey it. not everyone arriving on sunday is retired and arriving at 12 or1pm as required one is entitled to choose a pitch that should be available not to hang around for some weekender to move off. on some sites we have seen outfits waiting to go on a pitch whilst the weekender plays about flouting the wardens instructions and club rules . If a site is fully booked and there are no spare pitches an yone flouting the rules by staying put does need to be warned by the warden and reported to the club who should take action against them. I doubt it is a real problem however as most arrivals are staggered throughout the day. Anyone arriving before 12.00 has to take what is available if they are let on the site at all and if none are free they have only themselves to blame. Post liked!
member Discovery4, Caravanner three green stars [Online] Posted 2 weeks ago by Discovery4 Quote | Report club rules state depart by 12 noon obey it. The Club Rules say no such thing. See clause 15 of the rules (www.caravanclub.co.uk/planning-your-holiday/uk-holiday-planning/types-of-sites/club-sites/club-site-rules/) which state a. Pitches should normally be vacated by 12:00. b. If you'd like to remain later on site, not necessarily on your pitch, have a word with the Site Staff. Be aware that charges may apply. Post liked!

Seriously? Someone has been so desperate for that particular pitch that they've sat and waited. People aren't allowed to stay late if lots of new arrivals are expected. There will therefore be plenty of pitches to choose from. It really says something about how weird and control freaky some people are that they have to waste their own leisure time waiting for a pitch to be empty just to prove a point. Especially when the point they are trying to prove is wrong. I hope I meet someone like that when I leave late one day. For the record we always pay for the night that we intend to stay late. I could wait all night if necessary Post liked!

member AS THE CROW FLYS, Caravanner two green stars [Online] Posted 1 weeks ago by AS THE CROW FLYS Quote | Report We recently stayed and was told they couldn't extend even though we had only arrived at 6.30 Friday. It was so lovely on the Sunday (yes I know rare) so I asked if I could pay no problem paid an extra £7 which was grating as only sitting by the van and a stroll. Only later to be asked by the warden why we hadn't left. I showed him my receipt but his attitude was like id stolen something. I feel that looking at the amount of disatisfaction the club really needs to look at this issue. We as workers Mon to Fri dont seem to get any offers in any other area so would be good on the odd occasion to give a little. Oh and the site was quite empty by 6 oclock and we left by 7 still the same so it wasn't as if we were taking anyone's favourite spot. Whole thing needs a re think. Stayed on a Caravan and Camping site last week and it was no problem at all to stay longer so will be booking again to stay there. Post liked!

Taxidad, Caravanner From Bedfordshire three green stars [Online] Posted yesterday by Taxidad Quote | Report Never a problem leaving at noon after weekend trip tbh - yes we have stayed over on some sites for extra, and some (CL's) for free, but the traffic on a sunday evening on the M1 M25 A1M is horrendous so would rather leave at noon and get home mid afternoon. member L Bradley, one green star [Online] Posted yesterday by L Bradley Quote | Report Although this doesn't affect us as we don't do weekend jaunt's I can see the benefits it has for those who do and think that the club should look at it. I should not however impede those coming onto sites on a Sunday - as we do sometimes travel Sunday to Sunday to avoid traffic. Perhaps th club could take have a few less "Seasonal pitches" which could they could then charge an "extended stay fee" for those wishing to stop later. Dunno Post liked!
