CARAVAN TRAINING COURSE

I found the course very helpful and well worth the money,plus youy do qualify for discount with your caravan insurance if you insure with Caravan Club

We have been Caravanning since 1975 and secretly thought we knew it all, you know been there done it got the tee shirt.

However the year before last we thought why not give the training course a try. Are we glad we did. As experienced caravaners we had over the years developed our own way of doing things, not necessarily the right/best way. we learnt such a lot in a very friendly atmosphe, the courses are small groups of very mixed ability. So well done to the Events Department I would recommend this course to everyone. Oh yes, and as a bonus we get a discount on our caravan insurance with the Club.

Hi MIGIL, when have you booked the course for? It would be great to hear how you found the course and how you got on. It might be nice for other members to know about the course from a fellow member.

My husband has developed cataracts so I have had to tow the van.   I attended the course at Pembrey and found it invaluable,  Like everything else, towing is a skill that needs to be learned and I found it gave me the confidence I needed, particularly reversing...!!!

I've been seriously considering doing one of these courses as I'm a complete novice. I hadn't realised I'd get a bit of discount on my CC insurance either.

Looks like I'm definitely gonna go ahead with this now.

I'm booked in at York at the end of March. The only towing I've done was bringing the van from the dealer to the storage. That went well, until I had a curved reverse to do!! I'd watched a video, but nothing like the real thing. I ended up pushing the van into place. (I had a mover fitted, but couldn't find the key!)

  Feeling a bit nervous myself, I must admit.

Feeling so nervous, I can't find all the paperwork for the course, I have the confirmation page, but the itinerary and directions are lost in the bottomless void which is my filing system!!
