member nedsram, Motorhomer From Cheshire four green stars [Online] Posted 11 July 2012 by nedsram Quote | Report I may be missing something here, but when I click on "create a new discussion" for a discussion topic, I don't get the promised text box, but just get the same page back. I can however reply to existing discussions - as I have done in this case. And before you ask, yes I am logged in. A second issue is that on the login page, there is a "remember me" checkbox. This presumably is supposed to store a cookie on the PC so that you don't have to log in every time you visit the site. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work, as I come up as "guest" every time I visit the site. Post liked!
member nedsram, Motorhomer From Cheshire four green stars [Online] Posted 11 July 2012 by nedsram Quote | Report Also, I show up as "caravanner from Cheshire", even though I selected "own a motorhome" in my profile. Is there such a word as "motorhomer"? Post liked!

Now it works, so this seems to be an intermittent issue. As a former IT developer and troubleshooter, I like obscure problems that come and go. Hope you do too. I would have edited the original post, but you seem to allow only a short timespan for editing posts. Perhaps you could also consider relaxing this restriction. I don't know if you are using phpBB, but if so this is a customisable option. Post liked!

Write your comments here...we purchased a 1998 cokmpass rallye 2 berth caravan recently. We paid £3995 for this van and we found out whilst on holiday, just returned, that the floor is spongy, from the door, cooker fridge and going up passageway. We have reported this the reputable Caravan Sales company, only for them to say that this happens with a caravan of this age. Surely this caravan should not have been sold to us, at this price, with a spongy floor. Do we have a comeback on this caravan sales company, for our money back, or an exchange. They say they did not know that there was anything wrong with the caravan, even though it went thru servicing before we picked it up. Any help would be grateful many thanks Post liked!

Was this done? Post liked!

At the top, just before the posts, click on "Stop following this discussion". Another glitch. I clicked on "quote" to reply. I was asked to log in (I've already posted about this issue). After logging in, I was presented with a reply field but not the quoted text, so I had to go back and try again. We shouldn't get too irate though. This is a new and very useful facility, and there are bound to be teething troubles. And they do act on comments. I am no longer a "caravanner from Cheshire" for example. Post liked!
