Why on earth do we still have to put with not being able to FOLLOW a discussion we are interested in or have contributed to? Surely it is not beyond the wits of this site's designers to e-mail contributors or followers when a new post to a discussion is submitted? Compared to other forums (MHF in particular) Club together is not fit for purpose !

Is there a problem with the on line booking system??

I can see that a previous poster has had issued booking a site and I am having problems booking a ferry for Tuesday. I just keep getting redirected back to the login page. I have tried all morning and I am so frustrated. I think I will now just book direct with the ferry company or use a booking agent. It has made me think twice about staying a member, we have recently joined the caravan and camping club and I much refer their website, it's far more modern looking.

Surely it is not beyond the wits of this site's designers to e-mail contributors or followers when a new post to a discussion is submitted? Compared to other forums (MHF in particular) Club together is not fit for purpose !

Strange! Only after posting the last post saying I couldn't see it, it now appears !!!!! Thanks!

I've figured this one out. If you are not logged in you will not see the link to follow or stop following the discussion.

I am defeated by how this web site handles logins. Clearly the "remember me" check box does nothing as even if you check it, you will still appear as "guest" next time you visit the site. I've even had situations where I have had two windows to the site in the same browser, one logged in, the other one not logged in.

The conventional way to handle logins is to use cookies, but this site appears to use a different technology (possibly session beans?).

It just seems to remember your (Caravan Club's) user name. I agree though, that it missed the technoligical boat.

In terms of functionality and user friendliness this site is still unacceptable. You should be able to follow a thread even if you don't contribute (encourages less dross and waiting until you have something useful and new to add) and if you do contribute, especially a newcomer asking a question or advice, then notification of updates should be automatic i.e. opt out rather than opt in e.g. I 've just given a first and only answer to a query which is two weeks old but I'll bet the newcomer questioner has no idea that an answer has been given unless he comes back in and trawls through all the added posts until he finds his !

Write your comments here...I have tried changeing my profile picture and for some reason it won't do it, can you tell me where i'm going so wrong I would have thought it would have been straight fwd.
