This car was class winner of The Caravan Club Towcar of
theYear 2012 of the £25,000 - £32,000 class.
The Towcar history books will record the Superb as legendary. It
could do little more to prove the point than come back fighting its
corner and win its class yet again! While the secret ballot
deciding the 2012 Towcar of the Year champion will quite
rightly
remain classified, I'd wager that last year's victor didn't
relinquish is title lightly and left the winning VW with at least a
Jetta black eye… I can tell you nothing new about Superb - it's all
been said. It still goes, stops, corners and cossets like it's
always done, almost as if there's no caravan attached.
Caravanability
Swallowed all our gear with little complaint. Has a good 80kg
noseweight and a detachable towbar, but two hands are needed to
insert the 13-pin plug into the hinged socket. The handbook
contains reasonably comprehensive towing advice, and this test car
had a full-size spare (a space saver is available).
