This month we introduce you to Liz Parish, Financial Processing
Manager

What's your role at The Club?
I joined the Club on a temporary contract in June 2003 covering
maternity leave and was fortunate to become a permanent member of
staff in March 2004. As 'Financial Processing Manager' I head up
three teams:
- Accounts Payable who ensure all payments are made to our
suppliers, members refunds and staff expenses.
- Accounts Receivables who make sure all payments are received
for all products; Membership, Insurance, Travel, Club shop
etc.
- Site Accounts who reconcile all monies taken on sites.
Which Club Site is your favourite and why?
Unfortunately I do not get to visit Sites, however I have been
lucky enough to stay at the holiday cottages at Haycraft,
Southlands, Meathop Fell and Valley Truckle. I think my
favourite is Haycraft, with its lovely countryside and great walks.
Dorset is not too far to travel and is a lovely part of the
country.
Have you made any New Year's resolutions?
No, I don't make New Year's resolutions any more as I never keep
them!
And lastly...something interesting about yourself?
As my children are now grown up and moved out I have a little
more time on my hands. Our latest venture, over the last few years
is to take city breaks around Europe. We have been doing this with
a couple of friends and now have a list of 'favourites'. Recently
we visited Barcelona which we found fascinating and I was lucky
enough to foil a mugging! We still have a long list of cities to
visit.
Probably my favourite holidays have been to Canada, going on the
'Rocky Mountaineer' through the Rockies and on a Cruise to the
Norwegian Fjords. My every expanding family takes up the rest of my
leisure time, all very enjoyable and good fun, never a dull
moment.
