Govt funding secures electric car charging points

Millions of pounds worth of funding has been made available to install electric car charging points across the country, eco-savvy caravanners will be interested to learn.
Transport secretary Andrew Adonis is welcoming bids for a share of the £30 million, which is to be distributed among a range of facilities, including retail outlets and car parks.
"Our aim is for electric and low carbon cars to be an everyday feature of life on [the] UK's roads in less than five years," he revealed.
Mr Adonis stressed that there was "still a lot of work to be done", but this latest announcement puts the UK a step closer to a greener future.
A recent study by Bharat Books predicted that the electric car market would have shipped 32.7 million electric vehicles by 2015.
It forecasted that the growth in the electric car market would lead to developments in nation's infrastructure.
