A new iPhone application has been made available by the National Trust, making it even easier to enjoy great days out at its properties.
Available free of charge, the service gives details of hundreds of locations up and down the country so families can get planning their next trip.
It is also able to trace the nearest properties, so caravanners have an idea of how long it will take to travel to and from their destination.
Phillip Ludgate, Head of Digital Media at the National Trust, said: "I've always been amazed by the fact that wherever you are in the country, you're never more than 40 miles away from a place looked after by the National Trust."
He added that more people need to be aware of this, which is where the app comes into play.
The National Trust recently catalogued more than 155,000 of its historical books online for the first time.
