Touring in the south-east could become an easier affair with resurfacing work on the A47 to replace existing concrete slabs with asphalt.
West of Dereham, both the eastbound and westbound carriageways are currently made of concrete slabs.
These are to be replaced with a multi-layer asphalt road surface, removing some of the current bumps and helping to make for a more comfortable ride for motorists.
Highways Agency project manager Julian O'Dell says: "Replacing the concrete slabs with asphalt will prolong the life of this stretch of the A47 and provide a smoother ride for road users."
The Caravan Club's own Getting Started Guide for touring caravans notes the differences between single- and dual-axle models that could influence buyers considering which vehicle best suits their needs.
Single-axle caravans can manoeuvre in tight spaces thanks to their small turning circle, while a dual-axle design can be well suited to larger caravans.
