Caravan holidays in Paris 'not as expensive as you'd think'

People often have the misconception that caravan holidays and other breaks in Paris are going to be expensive, it has been suggested.
Veronique Potelet Anty, from the Paris Office du Tourisme et des Congres, explained that it has an image of being all about designers and palaces - which is not the case.
"This image isn't false, it's just incomplete. The capital offers a wide range of solutions to stick to a low budget from accommodation to transport or visits," the expert commented.
Ms Potelet Anty emphasised that transport around the city is very affordable, especially its metro and bus system, meaning people can see plenty of sites without having to spend a lot.
Figures from Abta - the Travel Association recently predicted that the August bank holiday would see 1.8 million Britons heading overseas in search of better weather and some relaxation.
