Don't forget winter sunscreen on holidays abroad

People heading to caravan sites abroad this winter to catch up on a bit of skiing should remember to bring their sunscreen, according to the British Skin Foundation.
This month's Ski Resort Report by the Post Office revealed that the sterling's slump against the Swiss franc will send prices soaring in Switzerland this year, but there is better news for those heading to Bulgaria, Andorra or Slovenia.
Bevis Man, communications manager at the British Skin Foundation, said wherever people go skiing on holidays abroad, they should remember that water and ice are very good reflectors of UV radiation.
"In fact, the amount of UV rays that reach the earth's surface increases by up to five per cent for every 1,000 feet above sea level you are, so areas that are typically exposed to the elements - the hands, face and head for example - are the key areas to apply sunscreen to," he added.
