EnjoyEngland recommends some great days out

Published: 28 August 2012

Although the Bank Holiday is now in the past, you don't need a three-day weekend to enjoy the UK. According to a spokesperson from EnjoyEngland, formerly known as VisitEngland, there are plenty of places around the country that are perfect for days out, making them ideal for holidaymakers who want to go on a caravan break but don't have a lot of time to get away.

"The possibilities are endless, I suppose it depends on what kind of thing you are looking for. Obviously for main cities, going into places like London is a great day out.

"It can be pricey but if you shop around and look ahead, you can really plan a good day," he said.

One of the great things about the capital is that there are plenty of options that don't cost a lot of money. For example, the Natural History museum is an affordable day out that is entertaining for kids and big kids alike.

EnjoyEngland also recommended having the Peter Pan tea at the Lancaster Hotel. For just £20, you'll get tea, some 'fairy dust' and a map to the Peter Pan statue, which is sure to delight anyone who loved the books as a child.
