Caravanners enjoy affordability, flexibility

Caravan holidays have grown in popularity due to their flexibility and affordability, an expert believes.
Speaking ahead of the Caravan and Motorhome Show at EventCity, the show's director Sam North pointed out that there are many factors working in favour of caravanning at the moment.
"It's possible to make your decision that little bit later if you have a caravan sitting on the drive at home, rather than having to commit yourself to a big spend months ahead of time," he told the Manchester Evening News.
Furthermore, passengers are facing an increase in restrictions at airports, which could put people off using this particular mode of transport, Mr North stressed.
He revealed that there are 25,000 new touring caravans sold on an annual basis, while around 7,000 motorhomes are sold during the same period.
These are the figures just for new models, as there are also plenty of used models changing hands.
