Loyalty proves essential for garage users

A large number of motorists are keen to stay loyal to their favourite garage if they can be assured of a good service, new research from Kwik Fit shows.
The company found that 45 per cent of drivers believe the most important reason for returning to the same garage is because they trust it will do a good job and not leave them needing breakdown assistance.
This is nearly twice as many who are mainly influenced by price (24 per cent), and only 20 per cent base their decision on convenience.
One in ten of those questioned said they didn't trust garages, while three per cent think it takes seven visits or more to a location before they have earned their trust.
Roger Griggs, communications director at Kwik Fit, said: "It's a credit to the industry that the majority of drivers who keep going to the same place do so because they have faith in its ability to get the job done properly."
