Large outfits travelling to Spain

Published: 05 March 2009

In last month's magazine, an article entitled 'Going Large?' was published on the Travel Service News pages.

We regret to say that this article was inaccurate in the information it provided. Although a sign attached to the back of a car and caravan or motorhome over 12m is still required for travelling in Spain, we were wrongly informed by Spanish contacts that the sign could be a sticker.

We have now been informed and have confirmed that the legal requirement is for the sign to be made of aluminium, but the same design and size, which must be purchased from an approved company. For this reason Raymac Ltd are no longer able to supply them.

We are currently in the process of sourcing a suitable outlet so that members can buy the correct signs for their outfits over 12m and as soon as we have these details they will be published in the magazine and on our website.

For advice on attaching the aluminium signs to your outfit please contact your dealer or manufacturer.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this error which was due entirely to inaccurate information supplied to us from Spain and was, therefore, beyond our control.
