Llanelli is a coastal town 11 miles west of Swansea. It is part of the Millenium Coastal park. It is also on the Celtic Trail cycle routes 4 and 47.

The local leisure centre has an indoor swimming pool and sports facilities. The Penninsula Golf & Country Club, the first Nicklaus-designed golf club in Wales, is close by. The Ashburnham golf course is also less than 3 miles away.
