At the beginning of the main season you will see some
fabulous new improvements to some of your favourite sites. We will
keep you up to date with the plans and how the sites are
progressing each month. Make sure you come back to the redeveloped
sites this summer where you will really see the
difference.
Details of forthcoming site developments can be seen
below:
Winter redevelopments will include an extension and
refurbishment to the top toilet block that will offer an increased
number of shower facilities, a larger laundry, enclosed vegetable
preparation area and a new disabled bathroom.
The lower toilet block will also be refurbished including
a linked walkway to enclose the two existing areas and will also
provide an enclosed vegetable preparation area, enlarged laundry
and much needed baby and toddler room.
In addition to this, three new hard standings will
be created. The site will be ready to open for Easter
2012.
Toilet block refurbishment and facility improvements including
additional showers and toilets, enlarged enclosed vegetable
preparation area, laundry and a new drying room - ideal on
Blackwall as its perfect for walkers.
External maintenance improvements are also planned. The site is
due to open as normal in 2012.
This lovely site, located close to the beaches of the Devon
coastline will receive a new and more efficient treatment plant
this winter. Site will open as usual.
The upper toilet block building at this popular site in the
Cotswolds will undergo refurbishment this winter. We are also
seeking to house the famous "Wanderer", the oldest caravan on the
network, at this site. See how our first members used to travel.
The site will open as normal in 2012.
Accessibility to the site facilities are being improved as
is the toilet ventilation system. The site will open as
usual in 2012.
During winter 2011/2012, the site will undergo improvement works
in two stages. Phase one will take place this winter to improve the
entrance to the site. Phase two will begin next winter with
refurbishment of the toilet block and addition of new facilities.
The site will open as usual in 2012.
The economy pitches at this site will be replaced with
hardstandings and electric hook ups. Additionally, some standard
pitches will be upgraded to serviced hardstanding but there is no
impact on site opening.
Accessibility to the site toilet block is being improved this
winter. There is no impact on site opening.
Additional hardstanding pitches will be developed over the
winter period to allow more members to enjoy the site even
following wet periods. There is no impact on site
opening.
This popular family site in South Devon will receive a new
playground over the winter as well as improvements to the pavements
around the covered courtyard area. Opening as usual in
2012.
Following the refurbishment of one of the toilet blocks during
last winter, the site will now have its second toilet block
refurbished ready for the 2012 main season. The refurbishment will
include an extension to the block, an upgraded disabled bathroom, a
second baby and toddler room and an internal enlarged vegetable
preparation area.
The laundry room will be enlarged and there will be some extra
WCS and showers. A small late night arrivals area will be added to
the site as well as improved entrance and exit.
The site has remained open utilising the recently refurbished
toilet blocks. However from February 2012 the site will be closed
to enable essential site entrance improvements with all works
completed and site reopening by 23 March.
This winter will see the remaining two toilet blocks being
refurbished following the first two being completed last
winter. The works have been planned to ensure the site remains
open as usual with it being at full capacity from mid April.
The site is due to open slightly later in 2012 (April) after
some extensive redevelopments this winter. Plans for this site
include three new grass pitches, a toilet block refurbishment and
extension to include a new baby and toddler room and enclosed
vegetable preparation area, as well as improvements to site
infrastructure and the reception, enlarged to aid members.
Forming the second phase of extensive improvements to this site
since its acquisition by the Club, the number of hardstandings will
be increased to 50 and there will be a variety of enhancements to
the site's infrastructure. The combined reception and toilet block
building will receive a substantial upgrade to include the
rearrangement and refitting of the toilet and shower facilities.
The site will open on 1 April.
This site will have 13 new hardstanding pitches added over the
winter to ensure more pitches are available all season. This will
give us five more pitches overall. The Club is also planning some
improvements to the children's facilities by consolidating these
into one new play area. The site will open as usual.
Work started in January 2012. This highly popular site in North
Yorkshire will undergo some remodelling to the existing site, plus
the development of 14 all weather pitches (some of these will be
serviced pitches).
Improvements will also be made to the entrance including
barriers, service points, warden's areas, parking and CCTV. In
addition to this, The Club plans to undertake a toilet block
refurbishment and redesign, new vegetable preparation area, baby
and toddler room, information room, laundry, telephone booth and
disabled bathroom.
As this site will be undergoing such extensive work, it will be
closed until August 2012. Beechwood
Grange, just four miles away, will become an open all
year site and our new site in Bridlington is
just 40 miles away.
Extension works to be developed over a two year period. Initial
works began in January 2012 and a subsequent site extension will
include 74 additional hard standing pitches and a new toilet block
and play area.
Phase one will be completed during site closure. Phase two
extension field is scheduled for October 2012 with the site
reopening as usual. Once the extension field is completed phase
three will begin late 2012 and includes the refurbishment of the
existing site. During this work the extension field and reception
will remain open for members to use.
