Volunteering with your Club offers a unique opportunity to give back, connect with like-minded individuals, and contribute to something you’re passionate about. It allows you to develop new skills, expand your network, and make a meaningful impact within your community. As a volunteer, you’re not just supporting the Club - you’re actively helping shape its future while building lasting memories and friendships. Whether you’re looking to share your expertise or simply be more involved, volunteering is a rewarding way to make a difference.
Are you passionate about making a difference? Do you want to have a say in how things are run and help shape the future of our Club? We’re looking for enthusiastic members - especially women - to volunteer for our Council and Committees!
We are currently looking for volunteers to join our Club Council, which helps to shape the direction of the Club and conveys the views of the wider membership to the Executive Committee, which is, in effect, the Board of Directors of the Club. We would love to hear from you if you have thoughts, ideas or experiences that would be valuable to the Club... and have a little bit of time to spare.
The Council meets twice a year, usually on a Saturday, in the Spring and Autumn. Council Members are invited to attend Division meetings and have the potential to be selected to serve on the Executive or other Committees of the Club, and many of these Committees now operate using virtual technology to allow participants to join without impacting their personal commitments. Travel expenses are reimbursed.
For more information about how the Club works, please explore our about us section. If this sounds like an opportunity that interests you, please advise us in writing to the Governance department at governance@camc.com in no more than 300 words what you feel you could offer the Club, including any previous experience, whether personal or job-related. Our closing date for this opportunity is Friday 30 May 2025.
Those who are shortlisted will be invited to meet the Nominations Committee by visiting the Club's Head Office in East Grinstead on Wednesday 2 July 2025, and details will be sent prior to the meeting date.
At the Club, we are dedicated to fostering diversity within our membership. Our greatest strength lies in our people, which is why we celebrate differences and are committed to creating an environment where everyone is respected and valued for their unique contributions. We are particularly eager to encourage more women to get involved—whether you have experience or are new to the role, your voice truly matters! We look forward to hearing from you!
Do you have some time to spare? Would you like to be involved with the Club locally?
The Club's Divisions are looking for volunteer members to help shape the future of the Club in local areas. There are numerous opportunities to get involved, and we are looking for members with a passion for touring, the Club, organising events, and social media/marketing promotion. Whatever time you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. If this appeals to you, please contact your local Division Administrator.
