1992 Autosleeper Clubman 2.0 LPG/Petrol powered on a VW T4 base. £11000OVNO Manchester Power steering, manual gearbox, easy to drive. The vehicle runs on LPG and petrol. All LPG powered vehicles start up on petrol and then switch over to LPG automatically or at the flick of a switch. It's under 3500kg so anybody can drive it on a normal licence. An annoying quirk is that the coolant temperature guage does not work on the dashboard. It never has and has not been a problem but do bear that in mind! More importantly the thermostat obviously does work as the radiator fan kicks in and out as it should to maintain the proper temperature. The vehicle has a 11 month MOT. We've owned it since December 2014 and have done what is needed to keep it happy. Last year the front crossmember was replaced, new cambelt kit fitted and new tyres all round. Only 1500 miles since this work. This year we've just got a fresh MOT and done a minor service at a local truck garage. Moving to the habitation side, the van sleeps two and the bed can be configured as two singles or one double. It has a blown air heating system that is powered by a gas heater. This provides quick and effective heat in all weathers. If you have a child, you can get stretcher beds that go over the front seats in the cab to add an extra bed. Two tables can be quickly installed in the middle of the van and pack away equally quickly. The kitchen is at the rear of the van and comprises of two gas burners, a gas grill and gas oven. There is a sink with hot and cold water. The water heater runs on gas or 240v mains hookup. This is a Propex Malaga system that was fitted a couple of years ago. There is a fridge that runs on 240v hookup or 12v if the vehicle is moving. There is a very small freezer compartment. The fridge also used to run on gas but this is not currently operational. You would need a mobile caravan engineer gas man to sort this out. In the bathroom there is a Thetford Cassette Toilet, sink and shower. These all work and run off the water heater. There is plenty of storage in the cupboards and a huge overcab locker. There is a wardrobe for clothes storage. At the rear is a Fiama bike rack for two bikes. On the side there is an Orminster wind out awning. We've had many happy times in this van but being two berth and two travel seats, it's just not the right van now we have two children. The exterior is generally in good shape given the age of the vehicle but there are some marks. To the left of habitation door, a crack to the fibreglass has previously been repaired but has opened up again and would benefit from attention ideally. A new lock was fitted to the habitation door as the original just wore out. However, it now only locks from the outside because the door is too deep for the mechanism to reach the catch on the inside. I suspect a caravan repairer could easily find a way around this. The electrical systems on the van run from a 12v leisure battery and 240v mains hookup. You need to come and view the van if you're interested. I won't entertain offers or reserve the van for anybody who hasn't been to view it. It's just one of those things that you need to see for yourself if you're serious about buying it. It's a 30 year old van. It's sold as seen. I'll give you a good tour of the vehicle, show you anything you want but once you've bought it, it's yours. If you would like to test drive it, please bring proof of insurance and we can go somewhere with a bit of space for you to try it out. If you don't have any insurance, I'm happy to demonstrate it.
