The main driving force behind Northern Caravans is Andrew Vernon, not only has he owned a caravan for over 30 years but for the last 8 years he has also worked within the caravan industry. He originally started working as light and heavy goods vehicle technician but then moved onto diagnostics with a Company commonly known as Crypton. However, it still wasn’t enough of a challenge so deciding that there was a gap in the market for a comprehensive parts shop specifically for leisure vehicles. Harrington Caravans was a family run business managed by Discover for 70 years but was swiftly brought to an end. However, Andy’s passion for caravans and motorhomes grew and grew, so Northern Caravans picked up a lot of stock and took on some of their staff. N.C.C approved workshops, training and inspections all followed and Northern Caravans has gone from strength to strength. Andrew and his family still caravan, he meets new people on campsites and is planning his second site even bigger and better!
