Why stay here ...

Our CL is set in the countryside on the fringes of Bristol, with far reaching views. Easy access via fenced and gated approach wellset off lane approach.

The site comprises 1.25 acres level, well drained grassland. Hardstandings and electrical hook-ups are available.

We welcome adults, children and pets. The Frome Valley Walkway is less than 200 yards from the CL - ideal for walkers and their dogs.

Cycle tracks are accessible close by. The site is an excellent base for exploring Bristol, the centre of which only a 15 minute drive away, an amazing city boasting many attractions such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge and dockside area.

We have both an annual Harbour Festival and world famous Balloon Fiesta. Badminton horse trials are 30 minutes drive away. The arts are well catered for with Bristol Old Vic, Colston Hall, Bristol Hippodrome etc. Bath is less than 30 minutes drive and again a city with many sites to visit.

Our CL is ideally suited as a "stopover" for guests travelling, in any direction as the M4/M5 interchange is close by.

We have several pubs locally providing good food. Less than a 10 minute walk takes you to The White Horse public house and restaurant which serves good food, and also adjacent an Oriental restaurant. There are also take-away outlets some of which deliver! A 10 minute walk in the opposite direction takes you to the Golden Heart which offers fine dining.

Supermarkets are within a mile of the CL, or smaller shops such as excellent bakers and butchers in the local village of Winterbourne.

We are very close to Southmead Hospital and provide a good base for those wishing to visit family and friends or indeed, attend as patients themselves. We therefore have full A+E services within close proximity of the CL.

What a welcome!

This was our second visit to this site and what a welcome! Jenny met us at the gate to show us our spot in the lovely, flat, well kept field. She quickly rustled up a couple of coffees and even a treat for our two dogs. Our daughter lives in Bristol and this is the perfect site for access to the city and surrounding areas. There is a low constant hum of the M4, but definitely not intrusive. As the motorways and ring road are very close, ease of access is very good so a little noise is very acceptable. The field is very well drained.. we spent 5 rainy days there and the ground was still firm underfoot. The site is nicely tucked away in a pretty hamlet and there are plenty of walks nearby without having to drive. Our dogs were in heaven. We will be back!

Perfect for Bristol

We stayed a couple of nights in May, while visiting family in Bristol, so close yet you could be miles away. The M4 fades to a slight hum and a walk up the road takes you into real country life. We shall be back.

Perfect!

We booked for 2 nights in February to visit family in Bristol. Usually stay at Baltic Wharf but you have to plan ahead and our newest grandsons birth not on schedule meant they were full as ever. However from the minute I spoke to Jenny I was pleased we could not get in the other site. Excellent directions around road works. We are a 7 metres coachbuilt and easy to get in and out. Super greeting and tea offered along with excellant information and tours of where we could get buses. Site is very relaxing...yes you can hear the m4 but it does not interfere with the pleasure. Site is well drained and not boggy despite a full day of rain. The only area which got a bit boggy is at the gate entrance as everyone treads the same path. No facilities which was fine for us. Good recycling and toilet emptying. We will definitely return.

What a welcome

We lost ourselves on route due to me being very tired, but Peter came out and met me guiding me in where Jenny met us with a pot of tea for me and a pot of coffee for my wife, should get a job teaching other CL owners how to meet and greet your guests, lovely site short grass and easy access to water and disposal points, the best greeting we've ever had in 30 years of caravanning, Thank you Peter and Jenny you made the long journey well worth it Andrew And Chris Sparkes

Great Site - Warm Welcome

From the minute we rang the owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming. We were advised of the roadworks and to follow the new directions on the website - directions were clear and easy to follow. On arrival we were offered a cup of tea (super lovely) - advise on our onward journey and amenities were pointed out. Great dog walks near by. 😀 Definelty one to revisit.
