Why stay here ...

Our CL is situated in a tranquil corner of our Marina Field. Nestled between the river and the majestic willow trees.

Wonderful views looking out across the meadow on the opposite bank. Wildlife abounds with Kingfishers, Herons and Woodpeckers regular visitors.

Lucky guests may even catch a glimpse of our friendly grey seal or the elusive terrapin.

While fresh water and waste are in proximity of the electric pitches you also have full use of all the facilities on the main park across the way. These include showers, toilets, disabled bathroom, washing machine & drying area.

Easy access to a variety of walks. The most popular one being the short 200 metre stroll to the Brampton Mill Gastro pub.

A fantastic touring base, you can be on the main road network within five minutes. Cambridge is under half an hour by car. We are a level fifteen minute walk to the train station which has a regular London service. The bus stop is 150 metres from our gate.

Brampton is our nearest village with two good 'foodie' pubs. Both dog friendly and can be accessed across the fields providing a lovely traffic free walk.

Huntingdon is under 5 minutes by car or an easy walk providing banks, supermarkets and top high street names.

Very attractive setting and well-looked after site. The friendly owners live on the site next door which has the utility block and a play area for children. Easy walking distance of Godmanchester, Brampton and Huntingdon across fields and meadows and there is a lovely pub next door, Brampton Mill with an excellent menu. Hinchingbrooke Country Park is just a short walk away as well. Can’t fault this site at all and will be back soon. Thank you for having us!

Disappointed 2019

Marina Field

I have visited this site for more than 20 years. sadly it is now not the very pleasant experience that it used to be. it is a beautiful location. it really is a pity that the wardens could not be more friendly.THE AMOUNT OF UNFRIENDLY RULES, are very off putting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you have to pay the same price as you do on the adjacent site, FULL payment in advance. (the site is 500 yards away), you can use the site facility's , but as i said they are 500 yards away. you also have to carry your rubbish at least 300 yards. when i was on the CL, MOST OF THE WEEK, i was the only unit on the field. in the not too distant past you could not get a place on the CL . BECAUSE IT WAS SO POPULAR. I THINK THAT SUPPORTS the way i now FEEL ABOUT THE SITE.

Comment from the Club:

Many thanks for your review. The CL owner has been in touch as she wants to address your concerns. Please note there are bins on the CL Site and the CL Owners are happy to advise members where these are if you are having difficulty locating. The CL Site is not the same charge as the main site. The main site is £28 compared to £24 on the CL or with the midweek offer it works out at £18 per night. We hope this helps address any misunderstandings and that you get to enjoy this lovely CL Site again in the future.

We loved the location of this pleasant riverside CL, although there was background noise from roads and rail there were more than enough distractions. There is an abundance of wildlife alongside the river and adjacent meadow. Don't miss the track to Godmanchester where you can see Port Holme meadow, England's largest natural meadow, sadly we just missed seeing it before it was mown. The CL is in a small corner of a well kept spacious leafy field with moorings a little further on, a secure spot, you need to pay and pre-book and follow the arrival instructions. Facilities can be used on the small adjoining site. Fishing is available, a good Mill pub just a stroll away on the banks of the Great Ouse and for me some Samuel Pepys history to follow. Hinchingbrooke Park is just over the road, an excellent park for all, lots of nice walks, I liked viewing the bee hives over there. The village can be reached on foot via some not very well sign posted footpaths or a short car journey, good Co-op and café etc and the C16th Black Bull pub next to the church, look out for the Pepys house in the field next door.

Stunning location on the riverside, although you can hear the trains and A14, it still does not distracts from the location. Excellent.

Peaceful Site

Marina Field
We were en-route for the North West from our home in Rural East Suffolk and did an overnight stop here both on the way out and on the way back. This is a lovely, peaceful, riverside site with 5 pitches in a large field. Our motorhome is not the smallest but there was absolutely no problem with access. Would we stay again...emphatically yes. In fact this is going to be a regular stop over for us on our journeying and if we were considering visiting the area for a few days this would be the natural choice.
