Why stay here ...

Dave and Louise invite you to visit Easter Cottage CL. The site is ideally located adjacent to the Sandstone Trail and just 5 minutes drive from Delamere Forest - ideal for those who enjoy walking. 15 minutes away by car is Historic Chester with its shops and attractions and 15 minutes in the opposite direction is Cheshire Oaks for those looking for bargains and serious retail therapy! Close by to this is the Blue Planet and Ellesmere Port Boat Museum. Further afield by car is the Wirral and Liverpool with lots of places to explore. If you enjoy water sports Manley Mere is close by and those who enjoy fishing are also well catered for in this area. Dave is an avid fisherman and would be more than willing to teach how to cast a fly and advise on the different waters available within striking distance of Easter Cottage. If visitors wish to remain on site this is an ideal place to wind down and enjoy the peace and quiet and wonderful views. Our village pub has an excellent reputation for good food – just a short stroll away across the fields (or 2 minutes in the car!) Please note that as we keep sheep any dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Adults only.

Easter Cottage is in a great location for walking as well as fishing and golf within 5 miles.

Lovely CL

Stayed here over August Bank Holiday weekend. Very easy site to access. Lovely owners Louise & Dave who bring a delicious plate of homemade scones when you've settled in. Spacious adults only site with a lovely view. No toilet/shower facilities but this doesn't matter to us for a weekend. Site is about 100 yds from the Sandstone Trail and there is a public bridleway right opposite so good area for walking dogs. TV signal was very poor in our van.

Couldn't have been better

This was our first visit to this site that has only been open for about 3 years but it won't be the last. Everything that the previous reviewers have said is true. Spacious, homely, lovely views, smashing owners, easy access to interesting places or walk from site, spotless and well laid out facilities. Even sunshine was provided (although maybe this can't be guaranteed). The road outside, whilst not being a major one does see it's fair share of traffic but it dies down as the day goes along and nothing kept me awake, even the odd flight that passes overhead en route to Liverpool airport. The sandstone trail can be found about 100 yards up the road. A smashing few days away on an excellent CL.

Better than Christmas never mind Easter

We have just stayed at this wonderful cl the views are amazing, the grass is beautifully mowed the cuttings are collected and Louise and Dave who are fortunate enough to own the site are amazing. We have been caravanning for over 30 years and this is one of the best sites we have stayed on. Ok there are no facilities, but the cleanliness of the disposal and waste area is spotless. The space that each caravan gets is fantastic with many yards between each pitch and you feel that even if you were to spread out it would not make any difference there would still be space. The views are wonderful from every pitch. There are National Trust properties, the Sandstone Walk, Canal walks, Meres, shops including supermarkets, and the wonderful Wirral peninsula and Liverpool all within near proximity. Louise and Dave are the fortunate owners and they are a lovely couple who meet and great you with total sincerity and will make sure you thoroughly enjoy your stay. I am sure that all visitors will be delighted and like us definitely revisit, and just think its adults only as well. Fantastic!! Enjoy!!

Delightful in every way!

As we arrived we were greeted by Dave and Louise who own this CL. They were so very friendly and most welcoming, taking their time to walk with us around the site and helping us to decide on which pitch to choose. We were treated to home made scones with lashings of strawberry jam and fresh cream soon after arrival and we felt that this was a lovely gesture. The setting is super, the pitches pretty level and well drained and most with a splendid view over the Mersey Estuary in the distance. It is a very tranquil location in the Cheshire countryside, great for walking but also not far by car from Chester and Cheshire Oaks for those who crave a spot of retail therapy. The White Lion pub is only about two miles away and serves excellent food at a reasonable price, a point illustrated by the fact that when we visited on a Sunday lunchtime there was hardly a free table! Their menu is on line for those who like to ponder their choice in advance. Altogether highly recommended and we shall definitely try to return again before the end of the season. Thank you Dave and Louise for a lovely weekend.

Hidden Gem

Beautiful and very well kept site. The welcome from owners second to none, some other sites we have visited over the years should take a leaf out of their book. Welcomed with scones and jam as I do not eat cream offered slice of cake as alternative. Owners could not do enough for you and had even printed off route map for us. Owners knowledge of area excellent and happy to provide you with information as required, nothing to much trouble Large field with spacious pitches and good views. Water pressure good. 16 amp electric.. Grass clippings collected. Mobile phone signal (vodaphone and O2) both fine. TV reception good. Lots of local walks from site ideal for our dog, We visited in July and had problems with horseflies mainly on walks. We note that we have visited area in past and never had problems with horse flies before so maybe unlucky this time. We would highly recommend this site and plan to visit for a longer stay in the future
