Why stay here ...

Dave and Louise invite you to visit Easter Cottage CL. The site is ideally located adjacent to the Sandstone Trail and just 5 minutes drive from Delamere Forest - ideal for those who enjoy walking. 15 minutes away by car is Historic Chester with its shops and attractions and 15 minutes in the opposite direction is Cheshire Oaks for those looking for bargains and serious retail therapy! Close by to this is the Blue Planet and Ellesmere Port Boat Museum. Further afield by car is the Wirral and Liverpool with lots of places to explore. If you enjoy water sports Manley Mere is close by and those who enjoy fishing are also well catered for in this area. Dave is an avid fisherman and would be more than willing to teach how to cast a fly and advise on the different waters available within striking distance of Easter Cottage. If visitors wish to remain on site this is an ideal place to wind down and enjoy the peace and quiet and wonderful views. Our village pub has an excellent reputation for good food – just a short stroll away across the fields (or 2 minutes in the car!) Please note that as we keep sheep any dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Adults only.

Easter Cottage is in a great location for walking as well as fishing and golf within 5 miles.

Hidden Gem

Beautiful and very well kept site. The welcome from owners second to none, some other sites we have visited over the years should take a leaf out of their book. Welcomed with scones and jam as I do not eat cream offered slice of cake as alternative. Owners could not do enough for you and had even printed off route map for us. Owners knowledge of area excellent and happy to provide you with information as required, nothing to much trouble Large field with spacious pitches and good views. Water pressure good. 16 amp electric.. Grass clippings collected. Mobile phone signal (vodaphone and O2) both fine. TV reception good. Lots of local walks from site ideal for our dog, We visited in July and had problems with horseflies mainly on walks. We note that we have visited area in past and never had problems with horse flies before so maybe unlucky this time. We would highly recommend this site and plan to visit for a longer stay in the future

Outstanding CL

Dave & Louise were wonderful hosts, and couldnt do enough for us, even a wash load on one of the few sunny days we had on our Welsh touring holiday. The jam scones and cream upon arrival were a delightful touch. The green site was immaculately kept, with views over the Mersey. There was talk of installing further electric hook-up sites around the CL which would allow alternative caravan pitches.Their garden was an arborical dream and the birds were plentiful. Dave's suggestion of the short train ride to Chester was better than the Park & Ride. For us a definite return is on the cards when getting together with family in the area.

Best CL ever

This is by far the best CL we have ever used. Spacious site with nice views, well cared for by Dave & Louise, who were as helpful as they could possibly be. We had a couple of torrential downpours but the land was very well draining and so no problem at all and the owners came to check we had no problems. We visited Chester Zoo, the National Waterways Museum, Port Sunlight Village. We also went to Woodside Pier and took a round trip on the Mersey Ferry for £8.50 each. I would not hesitate to recommend this site to anyone (and also the scones).

Needs a Club Health Warning

What a welcome! We were told to put the kettle on and within 10 minutes we were presented with an extremely large plate of scrumptious scones smothered with jam and fresh cream. They were very, very naughty but extremely delicious! The scones were just the start. A beautifully manicured site, very peaceful, owners that love to have members as their guests, superb views, nesting birds, so well placed to explore The Wirral and a 30 minute drive to the park and ride that takes you on the train into the centre of Liverpool. Got the message?
