2nd visit and love it

We spent 4 nights at Curlew Farm last week and this was our second visit to this lovely site. The views are outstanding even thought the 4 days we were there were very wet and windy. We hope to make more use of this site as we love the area and its ideal for visits to Lyme Regis, Seaton, Sidmouth and the Donkey Sanctuary.

Lovely views

Friendly owner, Jackie. Basic site but quiet. Minor road runs behind the site, the odd tractor but doesn't disturb. There were cows in the field opposite when we visited, they were quite inquisitive and followed us up and down the fence to the water tap. Good position for visiting Lyme and Seaton. We stayed a week and pitched our awning no problem. The views down the hill are lovely in the evening with the sun setting. We would visit again.

Peaceful with views

Stayed here for three nights in August. Spacious pitches in a rural setting. There is a road on the other side of the hedge from the site but it was never intrusive or a problem being a quiet country road. Lovely far reaching views. Convenient for Seaton, Lyme Regis and Axminster. Recommended if you are looking for a peaceful site with excellent views. The best way to approach the site is from the Axminster direction (as described in the directions) as the turn from the other direction is tight.

- May Bank Holiday -

A really enjoyable weekend!   All you could wish for from a CL - and indeed more! The views from the pitches are spectacular (as indeed is the view of the night sky) on a clear day!   We were affected by some strong winds - as indeed the site is a little, shall we say, 'exposed' which deterred us from unpacking the awning! For the final part of the weekend however, there was no wind  - but very thick Coastal Mist - where visibility was somewhat restricted!   The Site is adjacent to a road, but this did not cause any 'sleepless nights' at all!   We WILL return to enjoy those lovely sunny and windless days that the Site will experience too!   Thank you for your kind hospitality Jackie!

Easter 2016

Excellent site, grand views across Axminster, spectacular Sunsets. The field is long and mostly flat with short grass “sheep cut”, The field is at the top of a hill so dries out fast. We visited over Easter and watched a Ewe give birth to twin lambs right in front of the van. Site is suitable for staying close to Lime Regis and Seaton with lots of Country public houses nearby. We would use the site again especially to see the Tawny Owls who sit in the trees around and watch the Seaker Dear skipping by. The owners could not be more helpful and welcoming.
