A lovely quiet site

We had a good 2 nights at this lovely little site. It was quiet with very little road noise. It is very well located for access to Plymouth. It is only a 10 minute walk to a good fish and chip shop and garden centre. The owner we met was very friendly and we did enjoy our stay. The only comments we would have would be that exiting the site can be a little challenging with a caravan as it is a sharpish right turn onto a narrow road before joining the main road. We were glad ours was only a small caravan and we did negotiate it safely. We are fairly new to towing and experienced towers will probably find it easier. The pitches were a little smaller than we have experienced before and fitting 5 vans does seem a bit of a squeeze on the field. After setting up we were not certain that we had taken a pitch belonging to a motorcaravan which had gone out and not left any evidence apart from an electric cable which we didn't spot until we had pitched and spoken to the owner. After going out, we came back to a fairly closely parked motorcaravan using the same cable in a space which did not seem to be an allocated pitch! It may be handy for the owners to confirm which pitch number should be used or put reserved signs to avoid any confusion in future. We did enjoy the stay and will hopefully be back.

Great CL

What a lovely CL this is. Very handy for visiting Plymouth - although no buses on a Sunday. Good pub in village and great coffee shop at the Garden Centre across the road. Despite being very near the main road you don't get disturbed by road noise. Some lovely walks down to the estuary. Owners very helpful, and make you feel very welcome

Very pleasant site

We recently had our second visit to Hilltops. As before the site was clean and well cared for with good facilities and our stay here was a pleasure.

Lovely relaxing site with very friendly owners

This site is ideally sited to visit Plymouth and the South Hams area. It is easily found on the outskirts of Plymouth and we have had no problems getting into or out of the site even though we have a large car and caravan. The site owners are always friendly and helpful and the site is very well kept. Sited near to the lovely city of Plymouth with its many attractions, it is also well sited to visit places such as Dartmouth, Tavistock, Looe, Kingsbridge and many other spots. The site has easy access to bus routes for those wishing to avoid driving, and the Garden Centre nearby is a pleasant place to have a tea/coffee or a steak on their regular steak nights. The owners Phil and Monica have always been very friendly and helpful and can give information on the local area. Overall a welcoming, well kept site!
