Great find

Lovely find in great area. Arrived on site to find a board with our name on so knew where to park. Owner came out and welcomed us along with a large folder full of useful information for site and info about area and places to visit. Load of leaflets too and can keep while you stay and hand back when leaving. Think this an excellent idea, more sites, big or small could do it. Had a lovely stay last week of May well spaced out and plenty of room. Recycling was good. Dog walk up through the woods is easy accessible. Would certainly use again if going to the area.

Lovely site

We stayed here for five nights mid May 2019. Judith and Simon were very helpful and friendly, they even were very kind where the dogs were concerned - thank you. I cannot really add to the positive comments that have already been made. We made use of our time there and visited plenty of places of interest while we were there.

what a gorgeous CL!

This is one of the nicest CLs I have ever visited! The site was immaculate, in the most beautiful location on a working farm, deep in the Dorset countryside, surrounded by stunning fields and forests and downland, and yet only 10 mins away from all the bustle and facilities of Dorchester, and close to the stunning Jurassic coastline. Judith could not have been more accommodating and welcoming - she was a fantastic host who did everything she could to make me feel at home and checked up regularly that everything was OK. The CL is very spacious with lots of room between pitches, good water and waste and recycling facilities, and very peaceful and quiet tucked away at the end of a farm track, sheltered and surrounded by trees, yet with open views to the south across the rolling countryside. The walks in the surrounding forest via public footpaths are excellent, and stretch for miles and miles, with lots of quiet roads for cycling. What a gorgeous part of the world, and what a gorgeous CL! I felt thoroughly refreshed and relaxed, and definitely plan to return. Thank you Judith for giving me such happy holiday memories! :-) Ross, Ayrshire, Scotland.

What a gem!

Fantastic little site tucked away in the Dorset countryside on a working farm just outside Puddletown. Judith made us feel very welcome from the outset. In fact whilst we had booked for 6 nights we loved it so much we ended up staying on for 12. Water, bins and chemical waste point are all within easy reach. The site is well looked after, the grass kept short and there is an abundance of nature all around you. We saw deer grazing in the fields from our caravan windows and a family of Kestrels close-by in the trees, not to mention a small herd of heifers who visited us at the fence every morning and evening. The last part of the approach from Puddletown is narrow but there are plenty of passing places and it’s only ¾ of a mile anyway. From a convenience point of view, there’s a Londis shop just back down the road in Puddletown and supermarkets in Dorchester nearby. As well as Dorchester this CL is a great staging point for visits to Corfe Castle, Swanage and Weymouth; all within striking distance for day trips, as is the coast with Studland Bay, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Bridport and the SW Coast Path for walkers. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here. We shall certainly be returning.

Kay & Westy

Arrived at the site on the wetest Easter on record !!! The area being very aptly named "Puddletown"" Judith welcomed us warmly finding us a pitch on her paddock, we found her a lovely friendly lady. Owing to the ground being based on chalk it was surprisingly firm under the top layer of soil and drained well !! Lovely views over the surrounding countryside and very accessible for exploring beautiful Dorset and it's Jurrasic coast. We were lucky enough to sit and watch a pod of Dolphins feeding at Kimmeridge Bay ! Looking forward to returning sometime in the future, Thankyou !
