Why stay here ...

Omaha Meadows is situated on the edge of Moors Valley Country Park and is owned by Alan & Jane Bingham. Within a 2 minute walk, there is recreational grounds and a children's play park. Within 5 minute walk, you are in Moors Valley Country Park. There are many walks, cycle routes, running routes, fishing, golf, ride on model railway, segways and Go-Ape in the park.

The site is suitable for families, walkers, cyclists and dog owners. Slightly further away is Verwood Forest which offers great scenery and walks. Within a 10 minute drive is the market town of Ringwood and another 5 minutes further afield is Bournemouth Beach and The New Forest. New Forest Water Sports is only a 12 minute drive away and Paultons Park is only 25 minutes away.

We have a new service block with male & female toilets and showers. The site is very quiet and is kept to a high standard with lots of flowers and plants. We also have a book swap room.

The village of Verwood is less than a mile away. Verwood has several good pubs, a supermarket, fuel stations and local shops.

Upon your arrival, we will give you a welcome pack. In this pack we put all the local information that you will need to have a great stay. We also add a "What's On" page for the time of your stay.

We have just taken delivery of two baby billy goats. They live in the field next to the campsite. They are friendly, funny and entertaining. They have an adventure play area that they climb on and we are teaching them to use their 'Goat-Swing' !! Rocky and Rolo look forward to meeting everyone, young and old.

We really look forward to your stay and we will ensure you have a great time and want to come back to this wonderful new site.

Fab holiday!

Omaha Meadows
We had a lovely 10 day stay here over Easter. There was a water tap at every pitch but unfortunately the way we positioned our caravan an awning meant our 10m pipe wasn’t long enough but with the showers it wasn’t an issue. A brilliant location for sightseeing and activities. A leisurely 13 min bike ride through Potterne Park led us into Moors Valley Country Park. The kids (7&9) loved the trails and playgrounds and especially Go Ape. Within an hour you could visit several NT houses, Bournemouth, Poole, Monkey World, Corfe Castle, Studland and Brownsea Island. There was plenty to do in every weather. There is a nursery next door but we weren’t disturbed by them at any time of the day. You could hear people walking past but it was just general chatter not shouting or yobbish behaviour. The weather was beautiful and we made the most of having the park within such a short distance (saving on the eye watering parking charges). Just brilliant for families.

Omaha Meadows what a Jewel

Omaha Meadows
Just spent a Glorious 5 nights at Omaha Meadows. There were 3 units in our party and I think everybody enjoyed themselves. Weather was brilliant especially seeing it is April!. No real need to drive anywhere really as Moors Valley Country Park is on the doorstep. Some reviews have mentioned noise-What noise? very peaceful -apart from the goats wanting attention! Very Clean and well kept site. Loos and showers are available 1 pair for gents and 1 for the ladies but never had a issue with using either. Very Friendly owners saw more of Alan-did see his wife on day of arrival. Large pitches all with electric and water tap. Has brought in a £2.50 per night charge for electric but don't blame him due to the current cost of electric as we all know-not cheap! You get a card with the meter reading on which you both check on arrival and checked when you leave. Surprised I never exceeded my 'Quota' but would not had been a lot at 21p per unit!. If you want a welcoming clean easy access CL I can't really think of many. Thank-you Alan for your Hospitality.

Well Planned Site

Omaha Meadows
Although the sites book states the address as Three Legged Cross, the site is actually much closer to Verwood. I was lucky to book a last minute 1 night stay in the height of the season and was greeted warmly. The site is very well laid out. Neat individual pitches are very generous in size, each with it's own water & electric supply. Plenty of room to sit out in the shade or the sun as preferred. Very clean and neatly organised facilities with a lovely hot shower. The bins and disposal points are all well labelled. A very easy walk to the playing fields then beyond into Moors Valley Country Park. Or in the other direction, into the village. My only criticism was the noise. It is next door to a child care facility so the road can be very busy with drop offs & collections. In the evening there was a lot of road noise too, despite it being a no-through road. Because the camping pitches are only separated from the pavement by wooden fencing, there is a lot of chatter as people walk to & from the playing fields. My young dog found this disconcerting, not being used to hearing voices pass by so often. Of course, this is only my opinion and others may find that it is worth the trade off for being within easy walking distance of the recreation ground & village.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Omaha Meadows
A very good site. I would really want to give 4.5* for peace as there is a nearby road but it seemed quiet at night. It was nice to be able to walk into the country park but transport is needed for all other visits, of which there are many depending on how far you want to travel. Individual pitch electricity & water but you need waste barrel. Alan & Jane were very friendly & helpful & the facilities were excellent with good provision for covid protection. Well done

Fantastic Little CL

Omaha Meadows
This is a lovely little CL in a great location on the Dorset/Hampshire border. The site has been well thought out, and has level grass pitches which are regularly mowed. Each pitch had EHU and individual water taps. The toilets and showers looked spotlessly clean, but in the current Covid climate we chose to use our own onboard facilities. There was hand sanitiser and antibacterial spray available at convenient spots around the site. The two goats in the adjacent field are fun to watch. We received good instructions before arrival, plus a welcome pack with local info once we got there. There are a couple of pubs serving nice food a walkable distance from the site, as well as a choice of takeaways (I can thoroughly recommend Spice of India who deliver). From the site you can easily walk to the Moors Valley Country Park, and you are only a short drive from Bournemouth, Poole or the New Forest. All in all, we will definitely be returning which is the best recommendation you can give.
