Privileged location

It might not be the cheapest place to stay but this little CL delivers for us. Peaceful, easy setting up, well maintained site with view into NT parkland and private access during opening hours. This is our second stay and it is just as idyllic second time around. Cycling routes nearby - we went to Blandford Forum and beyond, also to Poole harbour on the Castleman Trailway. Good pub serving excellent food a 20 minute ride away plus site is within easy reach of Wimborne Minster. We can highly recommend this cl.

Snowdrops & daffodils

Nice neat site hidden away on the estate, with your own path directly into the grounds, which were carpetted with snowdrops and daffodils. Having just returned from a very relaxed weekend with our two very happy dogs we cannot wait to return later in the year. Farm shop just down the road is well stocked with good butchers next door. A little road noise during the day but not a problem. One of the electric bollards is still not working so only 4 pitches have electric hook-up.

Second Visit

We have just returned from our second visit to this fantastic location. All pitches have lovely views of the estate. The peace and tranquility are amazing. We have now done most of the walks supplied and they are all really nice. We will most definitely return as soon as we can. It is very surprising that no recycling facilities are provided, even the smallest sites generally offer this so we do wonder why!!! During our stay the coded gate was not working at all. This gave a feeling of insecurity when everyone was out for the day. There were at least three occasions when random cars drove onto the site, presumably for a look round. Hopefully this is being dealt with as it is much better knowing you leave your caravan in relatively secure situations.

Second visit

Second visit to KL and everything we need - if somewhat expensive for that basic CL. Don't miss The Vine PH just down the road. The electric bollard still not working when we stayed in June so we emailed the NT - twice, but have still not received a reply. Nice spot and yes we would visit again

What's to want?

Well, as the other reviews say, it is the most beautiful setting in beautiful countryside. Well thought out, the staff at the house so friendly. There is a but though. The electricity bollard nearest to us wasn't working, luckily, our cable was long enough to reach another one but there was no contact numbers up to report it. Also, on booking, we had to pay upfront, (not a problem), and a £5 booking fee. On the plus side you get sent a pack giving details of several walks and vouchers giving discount in the shop and cafe. We don't object to paying upfront, in fact we usually ask to so makes it easier for budgeting when away. It was the booking fee on top of advance payment that was a surprise.
