Wimborne Minster is a small, tranquil town located in Dorset, just a short drive from the UK’s coast and the seaside resorts of Poole and Bournemouth.
The historic town is steeped in history, thanks in part to Wimborne Minster Church, which has stood for over 1300 years.
It is just one of many quaint, historic buildings in the town, some of which, such as the Priest's House Museum - which celebrates rural Dorset life - date back as far as the 16th century.
For those who prefer something on a smaller scale, the Wimborne Model Town and Gardens is well worth a visit. It features a 1/10th scale recreation of Wimborne Minster as it stood in the 1950s, alongside a well-maintained outdoor space complete with sensory garden.
