Made to feel welcome

On arrival we were greeted with a smile from Caron, led to our pitch and given all the information required to make our stay a happy one. we found the site to be clean and fairly level grassed all be it scorched grass due to the sunny weather of late. The fully serviced pitch was a great bonus to have on a CL site also. The toilets on site were very clean with plenty of hot water. the electric hook up was metered which came to about £2 for the whole week end. We were a stones throw away from Colchester town and a few minutes away from the local pub-restaurant down the Road. also Colchester Zoo was just down the Road. We shall certainly be returning sooner rather than later. Thanks Caron & Paul for a great week end Graham & Diane

Excellent site and owners

We stayed for a couple of nights. We were greeted by Caron with a tray of tea and biscuits, with doggie treats for Izzie our Miniature Schnauzer. She called by every day to check everything was fine. The site is very clean as were the toilets which were immaculate. Each pitch had a tub of flowering plants which brightened the sun parched area. Other caravanners this week were regulars which says a lot. This site is on the outskirts of Colchester but it is very rural on site and peaceful. It is well located for visiting Essex and into Suffolk. The coast is very close. We would certainly recommend it and would love to visit again. Barbara, Robert and Izzie

Excellent facilities and a very warm welcome

We stayed for 3 nights and were very impressed with the facilities. Despite the recent rain the pitch was very firm and solid. We were made to feel very welcome. The bus into Colchester is just a few yards up the road. It took 15 mins to cycle to the Zoo. The walks nearby are easily accessible. Colchester Castle is a great way to spend an afternoon and if you have children under the age of 14 they're going to love the Zoo, very well thought out.

Best cl we have stayed on

This is the best value for money and pretty site we have had the pleasure to stay on. The owners are warm and welcoming whilst not intrusive and the amenities are clean and above adequate. After extending our stay we would most definitely return. Thank you so much Caron and Paul
