Well placed for the Cotswolds

Greystone Farm
Site is well located to visit many attractions in the Cotswolds, plus there is plenty of walking directly from the site and the surrounding area. Access from the A44 via Blockley was fine, and the turn into the drive was easy. The drive has collapsed one side which means you do need to drive very slowly down it. The turn into the field was wide on the way in, it is slightly tighter as you turn out as the drive is not wide, but with care it can be done with no issues, The field is not huge and we did feel a bit overlooked by other units whilst there. The three hard standings are a good size and flat, one is under a tree, another by the bin area (screened off by a fence) and one is quite close the the hedge. The grass pitches do require levelling blocks. We live in the country and absolutely understand that this is a working farm and thus you are going to get noise. However, the description for this site says it is peaceful. There was quite a bit of noise from the milking parlour, including loud music, and the drive, which is next to the site, was very busy during the day whilst we were there, not just with farm traffic (which you would expect). There is a train line not far away, but this was more of a background noise and it is interesting to watch the trains. Site does have a great outlook across rolling fields/hills and dark skies at night. Fly the farm dog roams the site and marks her territory. If you throw her ball she will not leave your side. However, whilst she will sit there with 'puppy eyes' for a while, she will go away if you ignore her. Emma is a great friendly owner and provides some maps with local information. The farm shop is worth a visit, we enjoyed our eggs and apple juice.

A pleasant stay

Greystone Farm
Our arrival here set the tone for our stay. We were cheerfully welcomed by the owner who explained where everything was situated and about the measures in place to be Covid secure. She then gave us some laminated maps detailing nearby places of interest, of local services and local walks. The site has a small shed selling milk, new laid eggs and, while we were there, damsons, cooking apples and home made plum jam. The site is well located for seeing The Cotswolds and its many delights. The only drawback being that we were unable to stay longer. We definitely intend to stay here again. A

Just got back from our first visit here. Had 7 lovely days. Emma regularly checked that we had everything we needed and supplied us with maps and lots of local information. She sanitise the taps at least twice a day and we had individual waste containers. We hope to visit again and very much recommend this CL.

Just come home from a week at this great site. We were welcomed by Emma and loaned some laminated sheets of walks from the site and general information. Covid precautions were good, taps cleaned regularly etc. Each pitch had it's own dedicated waste bin and recycling box. The drive as reported earlier is fine if you drive sensibly. There is a sign requesting 2mph. Very handy for National Trust properties. Emma sells new laid free range eggs, and the farm's organic milk. I just missed the Victoria plums, better luck next time! Didn't notice the early morning milking!

Have just had 2 nights on this lovely little site. The owner was very nice and welcoming. We did a great walk from the site to Broad Camden, then on to Chipping Camden, worth the effort. On Sunday morning before we left Emma and her daughter, took time to bring there horses over to say hello to my wife, who is a horse mad women.a very nice touch.Sky one of the farm borders was also very welcoming.A great site nothing negative to say and for £12 a night worth every penny.
