Home from Home!!!

We have stayed at this CL on numerous occasions now and have always been made to feel very welcome by Mr James and his family. The site is very easy to access from the A417, but the vans are set far enough back that you cannot see and rarely hear any evidence of the road being there at all. Although we only live twenty minutes drive away we have rarely visited this area of Gloucestershire, but now that we have found it we are hooked on the scenery, the peace and the absolute feeling of relaxation we experience no matter what the weather! And better still, should we fancy a day out with our two young children there are plenty of activities within a half hour drive.

Outstanding!

This is our second attempt to review this c.l.,so we hope this one reaches it's target. My wife,Daughter,Son in law,two grandchildren and I,regularly visit tis c.l. and enjoy each visit a little more each time. The scenery is amazing, acess and exit very good. Pitches generally level with occasional need for ramp/blocks. Hereford,Malvern,Ross on Wye,Tewkesbury,Gloucester,Cheltenham all within reasonable distance. Pleasant country pub within walking distance, where you can purchase a good Ploughmans,a nice pint and even freshly laid eggs. The site owner, family and even "Dizzy" the dog all, make you feel like part of the family, from the time you arrive. We live 30 minutes away but could be in the depths of Devon and Cornwall or even Scotland, whilst we are here .As long as you have your own facilities, and enjoy caravanning this is the place to enjoy it

Beautiful Malvern Views

A lovely farm site with views of the malverns and surrounding countryside. Loads of space on site to never feel crowded. Owner and his little dog friendly and the site is just a few hundred yards (albeit along the main road) to the local pub. Access is good as the site is just off the A417 but the caravans are far enough up the field to not hear noise from the road and to visit the local area it's only a couple of miles to the M50 to get to Ross / Newent / Tewkesbury etc. Perfect for a weekend getaway to the peace and quiet.

Nice Place but Unexpected Charges

We visitied this site with another couple who are also members, we phoned previously to check what price we would have to pay and was advised £10 per night which inc electric. On arrival our friends put up a small lightweight awning just big enough for 1 chair and the dog things. On paying for the break our friends were charged £2 extra per night and were advised that this was for the awning, we challenged this extra charge but was told that it did advise this on the website. However on returning this is not the case and cannot see this extra charge anywhere. It was a lovely site but it is very annoying to be charged extra espeically when we phoned beforehand to check it.
